With summer ending and some cooler nights ahead, now is a great time to go explore Golden Ears Provincial Park. As of September 2 you will no longer need a day pass to visit the park, this will mean that they will no longer be checking passes to enter the park. With some nice weather ahead I would still recommend going earlier in the day to avoid possible parking issues. There are a ton of trails to go explore so make sure you drive to the very end over the bridge and check them all out, the drive is stunning. For seasoned hikers the Golden Ears Summit trail is the most challenging being 24 kms round trip. A more moderate hike would be, the Panorama Ridge Trail offering more of a scenic route through old growth forests leading to a view point of Alouette Lake. A great family hike with the young ones which is fairly quit easy and has a rewarding breath taking waterfall at the end, is the Lower Falls Trail. Pack your gear and get out hiking now! You defintely won’t regret it.
